Search and Destroy originally began as a very small fanlisting for the Hellsing series that Kel, who staffed at The Anime Fanlistings Network at the time, approved me for on March 25th, 2007, much to my disbelief. I remember being the source of a lot of fangirly screaming that day, actually; just didn't seem real. Anyway, the fanlisting stayed that way for a long time and later transformed into a small fansite that I still expand on time after time, though it will never have a download section (sorry!).
Also, the title was originally Dark Apocalypse, but I changed it on June 20th, 2008 to Search and Destroy. The former title didn't quite seem to fit the series that well, whereas the latter seems much more suited, given the plot of the manga; plus, Integra says it several times throughout her story when giving orders to her men, so it just seemed like a good choice.
This website is only a fan effort and is in no way involved with Hirano or anyone else involved in the production of Hellsing. I made it because I love the series a lot and I want to share that with others (not to mention see how many other people like it via the fanlisting section). Resources
To maintain the site I use Icon Sort, Enthusiast and FireFTP. To build it I used Notepad and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7. The image featured in the layout is a fan art done by Toshimichi from Solid & Etc, a very talented Hellsing artist (used with written permission). The scans provided in the multimedia section are my own, thus why they are such poor quality. Other images used within the website, such as in codes and icons, were from a scanlated version of Hellsing that is no longer online.
